High Risk Tree Felling
As tree felling is considered one of the most dangerous activities, we put strong emphasis on safety, and all our tree fellers are trained, highly competent and qualified. We have categorized our tree felling activities into three:
- Free/Straight Felling:
This type of felling will be limited to such situations that pose no risk of damage to any property or persons whatsoever. Equipment used: tirfors, guiding ropes and specialized felling tools as necessary to ensure the correct tree fall direction and position. This option is not prohibited for trees in confined spaces; sectional dismantling is more appropriate in such cases.
- Sectional Dismantling
This is a process of taking down medium to large sized trees in sections. This also involves using similar specialized equipment as above to ensure maximum safety, then if needed, the use of ropes to lower the branches to the ground. This technique is ideal for trees that are dead, dangerous, damaged, hanging over buildings & property or sites which have difficult access and/or confined space.
- Trimming
This is a process of removing selected branches usually dead, weak, overlapping and duplicated from the crown of the tree to improve the balance and structure. It can also be defined as the crown reduction process as the top canopy of the tree is removed. Purpose of this method is to reduce the size of a tree that pose a hazard for example encroaching overhead cables.
